10th Annual 21st Birthday

As some of you may be aware, yesterday was the 10th annual celebration of my 21st birthday. To celebrate, I wanted to do something I had never done before. So Boy took the day off work, and we went rock climbing! A bit scary at first (picture me clutching a wall, feet barely 8ft off the ground, refusing to go up any further). After a little coaxing, I did make it all the way to the top, and did a few more climbs before my day was done. My fingers and arms did get a little sore, but it was well worth it. After climbing, Boy took me for a nice dinner, then we met some friends for drinks downtown. Some photos of the festivities below. There are more pictures available here (a little behind uploading 2005 photos into the gallery, I'm afraid. Jan through Oct are still to get published).

Boy hangs precariously upside down in the bouldering cave.

Tremendously difficult, advanced move.
Also known as getting the footholds wrong and getting stuck.

I think I've got the hang of this now.

Made it to the top!
