Stupid Snow

If anyone sings that horrid "let it snow" carol at me today, I'm going to hurt them. Yes, I've always been of the ilk that loved the snow - forts and fights and snowmen - but not now. My boy is stuck in Prince George and probably won't make it home until tomorrow. I may not even be able to get to my New Year's party (dateless though I'd be)...unless it rains, my car isn't going anywhere, and I have little confidence in being able to get a cab in this weather tonight.

In all liklihood, I'll be ringing in the New Year alone - 26er in hand and watching the Times Square ball drop. That way, I can celebrate 3 hours early and go to bed by 9:01pm.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.

Yay!

It appears to be working. Feel free to comment away. Hopefully this time the comments won't disappear into the black hole of the interweb.

4 days until boy gets home!

Testing out a new comments server

The old one, BlogOut, managed to lose all my comments. So I've switched to enetation - if I can make it work, that is.

VICTORY!!

I have finally won, for the first time, the annual Carvalho monopoly game. I now have bragging rights for the next 366 days (it's leap year, after all).

LotR:RotK

So scary when you agree with them both. Except, while Orlando Bloom is much dreamier than Viggo Mortensen, Aragorn is way hotter than Legolas, no contest.

I have the best boy ever

After a week where we both worked late almost every day, I called up boy at 4:30 on Friday. It was looking like we were both going to have to work late yet again, but as we were each going to be busy the rest of the weekend, we decided on a quiet evening together. I figured we'd probably end up going for dinner and maybe a movie.

Much to my surprise when I got to his place, he had left work early, stopped in at the grocery store on his way home (it was pissing rain, btw, and he was on the bus), and had already cooked me dinner by the time I got there. And dinner was good! Then he fed me dessert and popped in a movie, already rented. Not only that...it was a cartoon!

I'm spoiled...and I like it :)
